Dreamtime would be the next one to buy. On that and Love, the first two albums, the band does an interesting mixture of atmospheric hard rock and postpunk/goth type stuff. It worked really well. Where things go wrong IMHO is with "Electric". It was a huge hit and not a bad album though it sounds like AC/DC more than anything prior. They actually recorded the album twice and the first session recording "Peace" is much better IMHO and sounds more like "Love" than what they ended up with at the end. Several years ago there was a reissue 2xLP with both versions of the album. I had it and sold it as I thought the sound on vinyl was mediocre and it would be better suited to a CD set. I need to pick up that CD set still. After Electric it depends how much you like the band if you want to keep going. They try a lot of different things...Sonic Temple was a commercial album and was targeted towards the U.S. glam rock/hair band market. Not bad just not like what came before. The bits I've heard of the later stuff didn't do much for me, but some people like those albums. Also, before "The Cult", some of the members were in "Death Cult" and "Southern Death Cult"...that stuff is way more raw than "The Cult" and primarily of interest to folks into post punk and goth music from the late 70s/early 80s. There were CD collections of that stuff but they may have gone OOP over the years.

I enjoyed the Cult live and liked all those albums. Love is a 1980's classic.

Dead Cities with The Future Sound of London is a real marvel on vinyl. That goes for the newer pressings as well.
