Hi Mick, Thanks for your inputs. I also think that trying is key here. And listening if I like the soundsignature of the majestic. Regards Fabio

Any ideas for making a Majestic DAC rack-mountable? Like the metal plates that can be screwed into the underside of the Proprius that allows them to be screwed onto something.

This will be my first comment after many years of not being on the forum, but I have to say I still thoroughly enjoy my Majestic DAC, as it always lifts all my music experiences up a few notches, led through the Propriuses, via the balanced outputs, to my adequate floor-standing loudspeakers. Even a good pair of headphones via my Solo Ultra Linear, although magnificent, ultimately does not compare to the experience of the ambience offered by the music opening up in the living room. The setup is so good (but this may make me sound like a nitwit), that I even hear a big difference between analog (balanced) and digital (coaxial) output, where the first is obviously preferable, listening via the floor-standing loudspeakers.
P.S. When I have the volume of the Propriuses at full (as recommended), there is always a slight audible hiss (not really noticeable when playing music). Might this be because of the relatively low grade interconnect cables? I guess it is. But there might be other factors at play, like the speaker cables.

Thank you Jan. It's nice to hear someone who gets so much pleasure from hearing music through Graham's designs, just as I do. The hiss is normal and I have my Proprius controls set just above halfway, partly because it gives me more range on the Majestic volume control.
