Slightly off topic, I know but what's your opinion of your StageDac and how do you connect it to your PC? (USB, SPDIF?).

i take it the "contour" setting is just a preset EQ?
trouble is i prefer itClap

Yes, in a typical application you bypass the DAP's internal amp and the overall sound is much cleaner since you are feeding the external amp a line level signal.

sound seems much cleaner to me already, over my desktop system.
i guess that is down to battery power?
