PSU 1 Burn In ?

Hello , does anyone know if the PSU 1 need's time to Burn In . Or is it good to go straight from the box? Thanks.

An IEC60950 safety test is satisfied after 72 hours (3 days) at maximum load. At this time the transformer is assessed to have reached it's optimum working condition. Therefore the planet's electrical safety law makers also recognise burn-in.

Note this is at maximum load. Therefore when running at a more relaxed loading the time to reach an optimum state is extended. By how much? We could assume it is the inverse of maximum load divided by the actual load. If powering a Solo with no signal, the load will be in the order of a tenth of maximum, which translates to 30 days by IEC reckoning.

That none should be able to park up and enjoy the view without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps
