I don't have a huge listening room and not outlandish power consumption would be a definite plus for me.
The Majestic DAC/pre is a much admired product and I've seen the many reviews citing the great sound and pretty unique flexibility in use. My particular system is vinyl-based so I connect a power amp directly from the Variable output on the Accession MM. This unusual facility on a phono stage was a massive incentive to purchase for me as I try to keep the signal path as short a possible. The Accession was a game changer in my system and I'll never purchase another phono stage (except perhaps an Accession MC!) On the odd occasion when I play CDs I'm happy enough to switch cables on the power amp (though any thoughts or advice on avoiding damage to the input sockets through wear and tear over time would be welcome). My speakers are PMC GB1, which I like a lot, and I gather from the forum are a manufacturer fairly widely used with GS equipment with positive results. Only thing missing now, in the absence of a GS design Class D alternative, are the Proprius, and a CuSat 0.6M cable, so they're next on the list. Thanks again for the helpful replies, D.

I have run the Proprius amps directly off a phono preamp using phono leads and it sounded very good. I use the DAC in the Majestic as well as connecting the phono preamp which also sounded very good. I hope that helps you.
When switching cables I would loosen any clamps and slide them out of the source component. There may be a better way...
