Hi

I'm using the 'old' Solo with Sennheiser HD800. What brand and type of cable is advised to connect the Sol with the (pre)amp?

Thanks,

Some will say to buy this or that brand of interconnect, sadly some of those recommendations could cost well over a thousand pounds. Personally I would go with a pair of Cusat that Graham sells specially if you are in Great Britain or the EU. If you are elsewhere the offering by Blue Jean Cable may make more sense specially if in the USA.

I say this because depending on where you are and from whom you buy you could save on import duty taxes and have shorter transit times. Good luck.

Untill now I used a cheap Vandenhul cable, but sound with the HD800 and Solo was too 'thin'. Replaced it with a self made cable (local higend dealer) which was much better ('fatter' sound).

So it seems that the type of cable makes a (big) difference when it comes to headphone amps...

RE: Xaverius,

IMHO, upgrade to PSU1 first. That could be more rewarding than changing cable at this stage.
