Good morning, how can I record a vinyl on the PC, and then convert it to digital, keeping my phono preamp? A Graham Slee Accession MC. Thank you.

Hi Vincenzo, your pc probably has an input socket on the motherboard or a soundcard. If it is a line level input you could use an adaptor to connect that input to the Cusat50 cable from your Accession's variable output. Turn the AccMC level down and ot should work. See what you think of the sound quality. If the PC has only a mic input that will probably be too high gain, causing distortion and probably adding noise to the recording.
I use a separate digital recorder and copy the files to my pc afterwards. I use VinylStudio software to edit my vinyl recordings and I know it can handle the recording from from a pc audio input. Other software is available including Audacity which is free. Others here will gladly share their expertise and help you too.

The PC also has a line input, I have a doubt, the Accession is connected to the PC with the variable output and to the amplifier with the fixed output, in this way do I compromise the signal that goes to the amplifier or not?

That's good news about the pc's line input
Sound wise I'm not sure as my setup is different and I leave my digital recorder attached although it is usually switched off. My suggestion is to compare the sound from the speakers with and without the pc connected. I suspect the pc fan noise would mask any change in the sound.

Hi, the way I have recorded ('ripped') vinyl is to take the variable output from the Accession to an ADC (Analogue Digital Converter). Any ADC could work, I use a Focusrite Scarlett. I feed the digital output from the ADC via USB cable to the pc and use Vinyl Studio software to record. This means the Accession and Focusrite can be used to control volume for the recording, I just settle Accession at mid way and the Focusrite for final level setting. I also use a separate USB output from the pc to my Majestic to monitor the recording and swap between source and recording.
I've had good results with my vinyl collection although I have not gone to the extent of perfecting the recordings, removing crackle, clicks etc. Having said all this, moving to streaming has shown me that very few of my albums are not available via Qobuz, so I would be a lot more selective if I was to start again.

I have, as many sought for many years to transfer my prize Vinyl to digital. I read other people experience and the technical information necessary to so undertake but realise it is a " suck and see" exercise that requires more a lot of system consideration thinking. A digital " Gramophone " 24 bit transfer of Valve/Transistor recorded Vinyl is not sonically comparable with the real authentic thing on a platter. But Vinyl will wear out and Digital copy can I am told be enhanced with emerging technology.

I have used a Behringer UCA 202 with Audacity with great success, and a fairly inexpensive solution as well !
