This is one of the most significant weeks of my life, as it is the 100th Anniversary of the recording of my all-time favourite music tracks. During one session on 12th August, and one on 15th August, the Zono Minstrels produced ten recordings of Plantation Songs by Alfred Scott-Gatty.

These recordings are largely forgotten, and only two tracks have ever been released in a digital form. Five of the others have been transferred by myself to digital files, using equipment which includes a Graham Slee Revelation M.

These get my vote as the greatest music tracks ever recorded, and tomorrow I will have the pleasure of uploading my all time favourite music track to YouTube and my own site, on the 100th Anniversary of its being recorded. Here is the site -

I'm just listening to the Click Clack WAV now through my Bitzie DAC and HD250II. Probably the oldest recording that I've ever listened to. Smile Thanks

These recordings sound really clear, Andrew! Having the sheet music for some of them is great too. Some of the words and titles wouldn't make it past the PC brigade today I think!

Is it possible to provide a link to an unrestored file, played through a non-adjustable phono stage (if you have one of course). It would be very interesting to hear the difference a Revelation M makes. Maybe this would be something Graham could link to from his product pages to show the effectiveness of the equalisation? Just a thought Ermm.

But this is a great project, and a valuable historical resource!
