Quote can somebody please tell me how these electrical upgrades work.

from what you say, rather well it seems Wink

The other work on the TT combined with the rewiring of the arm will all be contributing.

j7 knows what he is doing by all reports.

The PSU1 will lift the performance of the G2SE further.

BTW, if the G2SE is fairly new it may yet have some burning in to go - takes around 4 weeks of power on time to give its best.  Even when run in, it will improve for a few days after being powered on after a period of power off time.

Enjoy.

The effect will be similar to that I experienced when trying out a PSU1 with my plugtop-supplied SRGII (as it was then before the UL upgrade).

Plugging in the PSU1 everything was good. Not stunningly good, but, well, nicer . . .  It was reverting back to the plugtop supply that I noticed the soundstage had contracted, the depth was not as, er, deep (Confused), and dynamics were lacking in comparison. The extra wellie that the PSU1 gives will no doubt give your 2SE a similar hike in performance . . . Wink

Quite right you mention this Bob, particularly during the burn-in stages, the effect of the PSU1 may be more noticeable in its absence than immediately obvious.

eg - do not be disappointed if you do not notice an immediate leap in performance when you connect it up.  Just let it do its thing for another couple of weeks then plug the wall wart in instead of the PSU1 and you will notice the difference.

Tonguehello all
hgv mech here ,not been on forum for a while ,recovering after surgery.
iv,e been testing a loan pair of cusat50 cables and to be honest they are the db,s.
never heard sonny rollins sax played so good.LOL
a beatifully made product. i will buy 2 pairs when funds allow.
now a wee question,
i use a kt88 amp, it got fitted with new valves about 4 months ago,now for some reason it has
developed a bit of boomy bass.when i bought amp it had winged c 6550 tubes fitted and it sounded
really good ,could it be the valves settling in or should i re-fit 6550, ive gleaned a bit of
information saying that after a while valves sound different .could that be the cause.
the new valves were gl kt88.any info would be great.Big smile
regards
hgv mech
willie.
