By soundtrack I think youth which was the 80's to young to understand or appreciate punk or new wave.

Sade - Diamond Life ....The nearest my wife an I have to an 'our' record.

Human League - Dare this and the Yazoo below were my two records of my youth.

Yazoo - Upstairs at Eric's

Paul Young - No Parlez - The 80's were my my formative years .... unfortunately...

and a 1963 blues festival lp.... can't really remember what it was called just remember playing it over and over again.

Gwyneth Herbert - Ten Lives, Bittersweet and Blue  the best rendition of Fever I have ever heard!

Nina Simone

Diana Krall

The Beatles - Hey Jude  (and most everything else!)

Martha Argerich playing anything (piano)

e.s.t. - their new album Leucocyte is very good

Dame Janet Baker

Miles Davis

Billie Holliday

Pink Floyd

that'll do for now
