Let's go for a subjective, it's what I like list! Cool
No media approved discs, no "classics",  just records which are part of your life and your times... guilty, or not, pleasures welcome.

I'll begin with these:

Arcadia's So Red the Rose

Spandau Ballet's Diamond

OMD's Dazzle Ships

Ladytron's 604

Kraftwerk's Radioactivity

Various (country music), White Mansions

goldfrapp - felt mountain  there best album - nothing they have done has ever come close to this.

what about this mortal coil - this mortal coil, with song for the siren early tim buckley song?........ haven't heard filligree and shadow, is it good?

here's some more

amalia rodrigues - art of amalia, I only have CD would love the vinyl.
nick drake - five leaves left, bryter layer, pink moon
neutral milk hotel - in an aeroplane over the sea
terje ripdal - waves
joan baez - saw her at glastonbury - awesome
bo hansson - music inspired by lord of the rings, magician hats, attic thoughts, music inspired by watership down.....
wooden ships -
king tubby meets jacob miller in a tenament yard
agustus pablo - king tubbys meets rocker uptown (best dub album ever made, so musical - no dub album has ever come close to this)
john martin - solid air
keith jarrett, gary peacock, jack dejohnette - changeless
davey graham - folk, blues and beyond
sigur ros - ageatis byrjum
rekid - made in menorca
love - forever changes

this has the potential to get crazy. I have come to realize, depending on my mood/time of year my soundtrack forever changes.....

we should change this posting to "music thats important to you"

That's what the present title means, JD. If I find a vinyl copy of Amalia's, I'll let you know. Do you like the Bug and Pole?
