Cyreg, you are a regular contributor. You have posted 203 times. Most members just did 1 or 0.

Jon's comment "Let's ignore their websites and be active here instead" would make it better for all.

This to anybody who may be reading: Why are you reading this? Is it because you want to enjoy music at home, or somewhere else, that sounds real?

Real = high fidelity.

Real not equal lifestyle hi-fi.

Real not equal bling. Real not equal 1dB difference. Real not equal 100 watts 250 watts. Real not equal cabinet size. Real not equal social success. Real not equal tube or any other technology. Real not equal bit-rate. Real not equal politician friend getting you HM award. Real not knitted. Real not spray on thingy that short your sockets out (spray on mains plug and get electrocuted).
That none should be able to park up and enjoy the view without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps

I don't disagree, but I'd still like to know who is trying to fleece us. GSP may be one of few, but i don't believe the only ethical Hi Fi manufacturer on the planet. There's simply not the time, or the inclination, to audition them all, which just demonstrates how valuable the GSP loan scheme is.

You're right in saying no-one can audition everything, and there probably are other ethical hi-fi manufacturers out there, but for the sake of GSP, and ourselves - as we want Graham to go on producing great kit - we all need to try and raise the profile of GSP so it comes at or near the top of someone's audition list.

Absolutely; I agree 100% and like you Bob I do spend some time on other forums and whenever appropriate I attempt to encourage others to look this way.  After all, if wasn't for someone else on another forum I would never have come here looking for a phono stage.  Home loan done, pay cheque in the bank, Reflex M order almost placed.

People judge washing machines on the speed of their spin. Does the fastest spin equal the cleanest clothes? Some of the best, most well made (in Germany, usually) washing machines don't have the fastest spin speed.  But like wattage on amplifiers it is a number that makes for an easy comparable!

So what does a manufacturer who wants to make money do? Build a cheap machine with a very fast spin that will last just beyond the guarantee period.

The Hi-fi industry makes me so very sad: constant pressure every year to have new "best ever best reviewed" products. Whatever happened to building good quality stuff to last? Answer: it doesn't generate recurring profits, it doesn't sell hi-fi mags, it doesn't fund the dealers.

I'm so glad I have very little contact with this industry, because I only buy from it rarely and I expect the products to last a decade or more, not be thrown away when the next fashion comes along.

Graham, you mentioned your Fast is somebody else call PRAT, is that what help us hear the continues of a sound, like we can hear how a string sound fade out by that?

(It is not a good example. I don't know how to describe it in music terms,
 rhythm is inside PRAT  I can't use that to describe PRATConfused)
