Has anyone else seen this web page advertising an 'upgraded' power supply for GSP products?:
http://www.fidelityaudio.co.uk/graham-slee-accession-24v-low-noise-psu-4004-p.asp?gclid=CN2Q6NLXw80CFeUy0wodb_kLhA
Could be a bit misleading as it is called a 'Graham Slee Accession 24V PSU', but is obviously not made by GSP.
Has GSP authorised this or has anyone actually tested it and can comment  on its value?
Would be interested to hear Graham's comments.
Thanks
Russell

Graham has been a victim of this kind of fraudulent activity before.

Yeah it is rather misleading - deliberately so imo. I don't suppose they are legally required to be licenced or approved by Graham or any of the other manufacturer's. It's a PSU and if it works, then it works. Whether it's any good is an entirely different question.
Virtually every PSU for every manufacturer is illustrated with the same pic. Looks like a nice box, but who knows if that's what you get. I don't know these people, maybe they are legit, maybe not. Doesn't it cost a load of money to get a power supply approved? if so how can they offer so many? Or maybe they are the equivalent of those universal thingies you can buy at airports with a million different adaptors.

I have never actually bought anything from these guys but I came across them last year and have had a good look through their website.  I think it is a bit unfair to label them as 'fraudulent'.  Fidelity Audio are a hifi 'upgrade' company, they modify other manufacturer's products (e.g. cap rolling, better clock chips etc) in an attempt to improve their performance.  I was quite tempted to send in my Marantz CD player for an upgrade but the cost is rather prohibitive and most of the 'improvements' would be bypassed by a DAC upgrade anyway.  They have labelled this item Graham Slee Accession as that is the product that it is intended for and in the description they differentiate 'our' products from those that are 'from the manufacturer'.  I think they had some better pictures up before but they seem to have re-designed their website since I last looked in.

I had been thinking about broaching the subject of these power supplies but I didn't think it would be a good idea as it could count as advertising a competitors product Confused.  I have no idea if they are any good mind you.  I don't know much about electronics at the best of times and while as one of these must surely be better than a switching mode power supply I have no idea what the specific details of the PSU1 even are so I can't even compare the two in theory.  It's 'linear' and 24v, that's all I know LOL.  I'd be interested to know what Graham thinks.  I'm not considering buying one, I will have a PSU1 on my phono stage after all, I am just interested in learning a bit more about power supplies.

You will see what Graham thinks in relation to my previous thread from 4 weeks ago.

I never read the thread as being a GSP product but does appear strange that there appears to be a one size fits all.

Graham Slee is a specialist, not just of audio electronics, but of their power supplies as well. I'm not shilling; simply giving respect where it's due. The best power supply you can get for his Accession is the one of his own design that comes with it; the PSU1. I was quick to label this other supplier as "fraudulent" as "Graham Slee" and "Accession" are surely copyrights of Graham Slee Projects Ltd and HiFiSystemComponents. Any other company attempting to mislead or profit from the use of his name or product names without prior permission from Graham is in breach of copyright law. If it is not officially endorsed, there's probably a good reason why. There is no mention of electrical safety and EU-compliance. A genuine PSU1 can be powered on and left like this for years, because of its stringent safety considerations and long component life expectancy.
