I always worry a little when somebody asks me if upgrading will give them an improvement. I worry a lot when they don't ask that question and just want to upgrade.
My old gardening shoes are so comfortable it worries me that one day they're going to fall to pieces. When I do upgrade to a new pair I know they're going to be like new shoes always are. This is how, I believe, people should consider upgrading their audio gear - there will be a "pain barrier" before the new shoes bed-in, or you get used to the fact they are not your old comfortable gardening shoes. The shoemaker may have gone to a lot of trouble to make your new pair more comfortable, but will your feet agree? Eventually? |
