Graham, do you plan to make similar changes on the output stage for the VOYAGER PORTABLE for low impedance headphones (like Grados :)? If so, I will order one when its ready.

Regarding the two posts above...
Just look what happens when I take an in-depth look at the old uA741 op-amp... ...I discovered a lot of things about Grado headphones.... (clue: RC4558 used in RA1 is a dual uA741 - and no, I'm not using either...) |

Graham, thank you.
Just re-read your 11/3 post in this thread... made more sense (relatively) this time around. My take-away is that you emulated the electronic effect of the RA-1 on the can without prejudicing the underlying UL process/impact on other cans. Bravo. To my reading of headphone-related forums, there is still common frustration at finding a good match for RS-1, 325i etc. (esp. SS). This may be a useful marketing angle for the Diamond. I will certainly be considering either a 2nd upgrade and/or going the whole hog! ![]() Best James PS Reading a HD800 thread on Head-fi from '09/'10 and a very well respected figure was saying very good things about the SRGII in relation to much more expensive chinese and american valve amps.
