Ha,ha...I believe the Chinese blogger did not mean any disrespect, the actual meaning of "old man" in its original form was certainly lost in translation. In Chinese honorifics, the term (qiánbèi): literally "you who belong to an older generation" is added when addressing someone who is older and seen as more knowledgeable and wiser. It is a polite and respectful way of addressing someone who is older than you in the Chinese culture as well as in the Japanese culture.

Chinese's? Hummmmm, i like very mutch tea and music, and that's enough, for me of course.

Sorry again, for off-topic.
About New generations?, Do you remember the 90's The-The, with vocal's Matt Johnson? Do you remember the song Beat(en) Generation, in the Mind Bomb Album? Yes, that all new genaration make well, IPOD's, MP3, Downloads, and more Downloads..

But, for all chinese lovers, please listen the Monthy Phytons lyrics, it's fantastic, old british times, see the followwing you tube video:

"Too silly! What we need is..."

I have a funny feeling that Mr Gilliam and co. may have underestimated the eventual freedoms of the Chinese people who are hopefully taking all this in good spirit. Embarrassed

Already taken in good spirit by "yours truly". I have noticed before how younger Chinese people are respectful toward older people as we have a Chinese population in Barnsley. One day while shopping at the Co-op a Chinese woman stopped to let me pass, so she must have thought me older than her. However, our "ladies before gentlemen" tradition caused a little confusion...

Actually, I feel a lot safer amongst Chinese people in the UK than I do amongst our own people! (unless I know them of course)

I'm joking only. Better, the Monthy Pythons are joking to.
