The Solo SRG (with SM-PS PSU) costs around 350 GBP and the Novo just 230 GBP.
I'm planning to use one of these amps with the Sennheiser HD650 headphones. Which one should I choose and why?
Thanks!
Luciano

If you have the money I would say the Solo SRG, however if Iwas going to spend that kind of money I would consider getting the PSU1 as well. I had the Green Solo, the previous version of the Solo SRG and the new Novo comes very close to it. Those of us who have heard both felt that Graham had outdone himself in creating a less expensive amp with such a big sound.
Thus Graham improved on the Solo and the SRG came to lite. I have not listened to it yet but have no doubt in Graham's assesment in its performance.

I agree that - the difference between the "old" Solo and the Novo is so slight you'd probably keep your money in your pocket, buy the Novo and not miss out. There was nothing wrong with the old Solo - the Novo was simply amazing at the price. Mrarroyo - I'm still waiting for the SRG Solo too (hint to Graham!).

Novo is more tolerant of low-end sources. So depending on your source ... if your source is a very good CD player, go with Solo, and if your source is entry-level CD player, Novo is just enough.

What would you suggest as a (rough) maximum CDP for the Novo?
I'm looking for one (I've made the new thread in the CDP section to get some tips) but I really don't know what I should aim for... T |
