I am glad that you are both happy with your HD540IIs. You will have to spend a lot of money before you beat their fantastic fidelity of reproduction. Sadly, my remaining six have been thrown to the wayside; nobody wants them... I'm confused really; £140 is poor value for money??

If you're living in europe then the price is pretty steep.
For that price it's less attractive to buy.
With the high currency exchange rate from GBP to Euro's now.
I paid 165,00 pounds= 241,00 euro with extra higher paypal currency exchange rate and conversion from GBP to euro's.

I guess the problem is the customers you need are on HeadFi Ash but they all want expensive/multiple models for bragging rights!

You're right Benja. The value of the Euro has dropped significantly in recent months, killing off European interest altogether. Not even UK people seem interested now. Thanks to everyone would bought one.

Thanks for your efforts Ash on the HD250, HD540/560. It has helped a number of us here to get affordable hi-fi headphones in very good condition.
