There's an irony attached to this, Rich. 

The vinyl event referenced took place before I joined this forum and I went along with the specific intention of listening to a GSP phono stage as this was one of the brands promoted as being demonstrated yet there wasn't one to be seen. Of the two turntable systems on demonstration the Emily Barker EP certainly sounded better on the lower priced one and the guy sat alongside me even passed comment.

It was the Aylesbury road show that opened my eyes (ears!) to GSP.

Very insightful review, thanks Malcolm. Your rediscovery of the old records is familiar and is why we love vinyl. Yes we have to set the record player up right and enjoy there's a wealth of music on every LP just waiting to be shared with the listener.
