Well, the Proprius amps are winging their way back to Jon (cheersSmile)
Adding to what I initially posted is difficult, the best way I can put it is - they make the most of the signal fed to them - I spent 40 quid on a Rotel RCD-965 BX (probably the best mass market CD spinner Rotel have ever produced) and it sounded stunning through the Proprius.....no it can't make the Rotel sound better but it makes you appreciate how good the Rotel is. Listening pre-Proprius the Rotel sounded fine but through the Proprius everything became clearer, a 3-dimensional soundstage allowing each player their own space. No muddling or confusion, I could follow what was going on, picking out strands without losing the whole. I will miss them but I will take comfort in the Reflex which is cooking away in the background.........................and here endeth the wine induced lessonLOL

I have a question. As the Proprius is mono, can it be implemented into any sort of surround sound application like 5.1 or 7.1? Or is high fidelity 2.0 all you really need? Wink

IMO you only need 2.0 for music. I do have some DVD-A and SACD discs and played back in surround (4.1 in my case - no centre channel) the pop stuff is good, mostly, DSOTM very good, but by no means essential to enjoying the music. Classical recordings, where the rear channels contain acoustic ambience rather than direct sound can be effective too. Having installed a pair of Proprius amps to drive my front speakers via a pair of Spatia cables I found the resulting soundstage and its interaction with the room to be easily as effective as pukka classical surround.

But if you're feeling flush, get 5 Proprii to hook up to an AV processor and the result will be splendid - on movies and music! Smile

Considering the amount of headroom those babies have, I think they'd suit AV rather wellSmile
