Just treated myself to some new speakers and so my Frugel Horn XLs are up for grabs if anybody fancies them. I built them in 2017 and they’ve been in daily use.

They are oak veneered and for the original investment sound really good. It would be pick up only from SW Birmingham area.

There are 10 kinds of people. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

If anyone is wondering about these, in a suitably sized room they can sound stunning.

Ernie's had to spend a substantial four figure sum to better them and I'm not surprised.

To my ears they do natural bass through their horns rather than ported bass which is what most folk are used to listening to so the bottom end does sound a bit different but the imaging and timing from the single driver are superb.

If your musical tastes go beyond rock and pop they're definitely worth a listen.

Ernie doesn't say how much he wants for them but I think you get a lot for your money if they are well built.

I use a pair of proprius amps to drive mine and it's a combination I'm very happy with.

Highly recommended.
