I ordered four albums  from my favourite record shop in Totnes online for click and collect and up until today I had heard nothing from them so I gave them a phone call, they told me they hadn't forgot about my order but they are having supply issues and we only have one of your albums in at the moment and we don't wont you to have to make multiple trips from Plymouth (fair comment) They said we do know that some customers may be buying for Christmas, So they told me we are telling customers if you wont us to send out or collect what we have that will be OK. I thought this maybe the case when I put my order in seeing that it was coming up to Christmas. I bet the likes of Am--n and hmv are not having the same issues as the small independent record shops.
Reflex M, Solo (both with PSU-1) CuSat50, Lautus, Spatia & Spatia links cables. Ortofon Bronze.

This seemed an appropriate moment to re-activate this old topic. I've recently been using Applestump Records in Nantwich, Cheshire. They seem to get all the new vinyl and have been a pleasure to use. They provide an efficient online service but also have an excellent little shop in the town  -  well worth a visit when in the area. A proper record shop of the type to be encouraged.

Note, I have no connection with Applestump Records other than as a satisfied customer.

Whilst visiting Long Melford last week I visited the record shop Music and More. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable. I bought a couple of reasonably priced seven inch singles that fitted in my bag before I got onto the Stour Valley Walk back to Sudbury.

I seem to remember that Long Melford was a very pretty village and I imagine it was a pleasant walk to Sudbury. Mention of those places takes me back a few years ... and a record shop too!

That's right. The village is picturesque and a quite long walk from the green and church to the former maltings which are just before Rodbridge Corner where the Nethergate Brewery is located. Yes it is a good walk along the old railway line or across the water meadows. I often use the railway walk and paths by the River Stour when I visit.

There is a new record shop in Sudbury but I only made a very brief visit so can't say much about it yet.

my luck to have Melody Records since 1979 in Chico CA.
Very large selection of gently used records and tapes.
