The Tube was on Ch 4, presented by Jools Holland and Paula Yates from Tyne Tees location in Newcastle. Part of anarchic 80's.

Something for the 80s music fan (or not) On BBC2 in October. The 80s - Music's Greatest Decade?. Bananarama, Chic's Nile Rodgers are among the stars making a case for the much - maligned music era in the BBC2 series (not my words) From what I read about it, It sounds like it could be a good series.

Sky Arts on Freeview channel 11 often has interesting concert and documentary programs.
I've a couple of Pink Floyd concerts recorded to watch, Sabbath & a few others.
There was a recent program on the preparation for Genesis' new tour with Phil Collins
unfortunately unable to play the drums anymore due to health problems.

Richard
Keep forgetting Sky Arts.
I watched A Pink Floyd concert, Can't remember which one now.
The TV company's don't promote or advertise Music programs (or is it just me that don't see them) there must be a lot of music lovers like us that miss out. If they did they may just up their viewing figures for such programming. I know you have MTV and the like, but that's just not my type of music

Good pont. What about the documentary channels' websites, do any of them offer listings of programmes for the following week(s)?

If Tom had not set up this post I would not of known any thing about The Old Grey Whistle Test, Documentary and that was on the BBC. As for TV listings of such programming you may get them in Music mags, But I don't buy them vary often. I'm not a big reader of music I prefer to listen to it
