Much depends on the amp, the speakers and the type of cable.
That none should be able to park up and enjoy the view without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps

As this is an old thread being revived I thought I would contribute my more recent findings in the context of 4 Proprii and associated cables.
Ignoring any undesirable vibrational effects of attaching electronics to a speaker, discussed elsewhere in this forum, I found longer balanced interconnects and tiny lengths of speaker cable produced an improved sound over shorter interconnects and longer speaker cables, particularly in terms of HF detail.

While there are so many factors at play it seems impossible to make a definitive judgement for all systems; I would encourage Proprius owners to experiment with this configuration - the removable sticky pads most glue manufacturers produce do a good job without the need to commit to holes in the veneer.

Naturally, it also means messing around with cable lengths where like for like can be difficult. Especially if you are currently using expensive audiophile cables. In the end, I spent the equivalent of a round of drinks on some studio cables to confirm my impressions before committing to getting new cables made up.

It was worth it sound wise, and is a lot neater from Mrs Audiophile's point of view.
