Hans, Absolute Radio plays to your USB socket - I'm doing that now. Just plug the Bitzie and you're listening on whatever you decide to connect to the Bitzie.

No complications. Does a decent stereo image even though the station have obviously done some compression.

And for music files you just need a free Foobar 2000 download and some music files on it.
That none should be able to park up and enjoy the view without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps

Checkout Radio Paradise they have some 128Kbit MP3 and AAC feeds and a 192K Ogg feed as well.

Will there be much difference in perceived soundQ, one way or the other? Thanks Han

Graham, do I gain something extra in SQ by using the SRGIIQuestion or not that much?

Hello, in reply to your question, you should probably expect to hear some very small sonic improvements by connecting the SRGII to the Bitzie, mainly in the sound dynamics because there is additional power (voltage swing) available due to the mains power supply of the SRGII. The Bitzie alone is bus-powered so the volume is unable to go ultra loud with high impedance headphones. Still, the differences are likely to be quite minor, in the same way that the improvements will be minor if you connect an ULDE Solo to the Bitzie. So expect to perhaps hear very slight upgrade in the audio energy you perceive whilst the sound frequencies will remain the same.

If you consider a Bitzie/ULDE Solo pairing to be 100% sound quality, a lone Bitzie is probably between 90-95%. Just my thoughts. A Bitzie/ULDE Solo pairing is the closest you can get your digital files to the sound dynamics of vinyl. Smile

Hello,

I'd be interested to read what have you have heard in practice.

James, I am using the Bitzie to drive a Solo ULDE currently using a Senn HD580. The sound is mellower/smoother with more weight and to my ears longer decay to the notes.

Thanks Miguel  Smile.

How do you hear the ULDE output vs the Bitzie output straight to your HD580s?

Best regards,

James
