Yes. Although it's not nice being on the receiving end of an aggressive muppet like that.

That's why I took the plunge and started this place in January 2008. Five years on and I hope I've avoided being aggressive to any member. OK, there have been two or three slips on my part but hopefully my apologies were accepted. I think any general discussion hi-fi forum will degenerate eventually or be hijacked by those pushing their particular point of view or their own products - tried being a guest manufacturer once - 'bought the T-shirt' - it shrank... This one is not really general discussion (although for things we don't make, it can be) because I obviously fund it for the benefit of our brand, but having said that I'm not constantly pushing what I do - I leave that to my satisfied customers ![]() And on that point I'd like to thank all who take part here and those who listen to what we make through the loaner programs, and to give extra thanks to Jon, Miguel, Derek and Keith, the gems who make the loaner programs work for those who wish to partake, not forgetting the other moderators for their kind help. Hopefully it will remain a great place to visit and take part and it seems to be capturing more peoples interest. Graham |

Re: No middle ground
(sorry but have not worked out how to insert quotes) Reminds me of Steve Jobs. I have just finished his biography by Walter Isaacson. The book was written with Job's permission but he did not edit any content. I am not an Apple lover or user but I do appreciate their focus on design and purpose. To Jobs your idea/opinion/clothes etc were either brilliant or cr@p and he would tell you so using language often worse than that in front of everyone. His opinion was digital - 0 or 1, nothing in between. Not a nice man but an amazingly successful one at Apple (twice) & Pixar. I recommend the book wholeheartedly. Isaacson's biography of Einstein is next on my list. |

Do you mean that if i had asked i could have borrowed a ULDE to try at home before purchasing one?
I had read on here that you did a loan system but thought it was for people that were known to you. It could also have been me that did not have the confidence(or belief) to ask . Anyway it all turned out right in the end I bought the ULDE anyway and probably one of the best buys i have made (audio) . I agree re the hifi press and only buy now if there is a specific article in that interests me (not very often) |

Indeed you could! It shows a) the belief that Graham has in his products, and b) his innate trust in human nature . . .
