Excellent post Andrew & well illustrated.
Accurate cart alignment I've always found to be quite tricky, fiddly & never sure if it's optimally set.
The Mint looks very good.Thumbs Up

I had always convinced myself that inputting the exact spindle-pivot measurement & printing, checking and re-printing the Hoffman arc protractor until the mm check measurements were exactly right would be sufficient but always had a nagging doubt. I now wish I had spent $110 a few years ago

I re-checked my settings before posting and the stylus still hits dead center on the arc and the null points from all angles so that's it I guess. It certainly sounds like it
