Head banging means hurting yourself but there are quite a few people happy in doing so... LOL

If you want modern disco or arena sound levels which in my opinion are too loud to hear what the music is about, then the Bitzie cannot drive the HD800 that loud.

The ear does exactly what an audio compressor does when what it hears is too loud. All the lot hits its threshold and therefore it becomes noise... loud noise.

One person's loud is anothers average. It is subjective. My background was disco/group pa/public address (a long time ago) and I like to listen loud, but not disturbingly loud, and that's the loudness the Bitzie does into the HD800... not disturbingly loud.

We've started making the Bitzie's and we have pre-orders to work through and at our build rate I would reckon any new orders may take us 3-4 weeks to catch up with. I reckon we will have delivery down to 2 weeks by April.

That none should be able to park up and enjoy the view without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps

I have no idea why Sennheiser discontinued the HD250II. Confused A HD250II and a Bitzie USB DAC are all you need to get the best sound from a computer system. It doesn't really get any better.

By the way Graham, if you ever need a HD250II replacement, I now have three of them, thanks to you. LOL They are all in excellent working condition. I'm just looking for particular spare parts now so I might have to buy some more... LOL

Well, they ran them in Mk.I and Mk.II form for over 20 years.

I guess that the tools needed replacing and there were not selling enough to warrant manufacturing a new tool.

Though they were a bit silly in that Sennheiser only mentioned them as professional headphones in the latter years, so any domestic consumer looking for closed headphones would never find them - so they sold less than they would otherwise have done.

Unfortunately Sennheiser never did any really top quality closed headphones to better the HD 250 - I really wish they would.

I would love to see some closed headphones with the ring driver of the HD 800 ...................
