Hi Graham,
I recently acquired a voyager from a headfi member and I really enjoy it with my hd580 and er4-s. Although the battery seems last forever, I do want to ask if I want to use rechargeable 9V battery, which one should I go for? Because there are a lot of rechargeables from 200mah to 300mah. There is also a "True 9.6V rating" PowerEx 230mah and an iPOWER 9 Volt 500mAh Lithium Polymer Rechargeable. which one should I go for: the larger capacity or the higher V rating? Cheers, John |

Hi John,
The Voyager is quite tolerant of battery voltage and I'd go for the highest capacity to get the longest usage. 9.6V is OK too but would run down in about 2/3rds of the time. Graham |

Graham, is the reason the 9.6 V battery lasts only 2/3 because of its lower 230 mAh rating? Thanks. |

Yes, but dividing one by the other you'd expect it to be half, but this one has a 0.6 volt start over the other so I'm giving an educated guess that it would take a little longer than half to go down. |
