The Discourse on Judgmentalism goes something like this:

"I say old bean, you've got a speck in your eye!"

"By george, you are right, and by the way have you noticed the log in yours?"

It often applies to Hi-Fi in the form of neo-luddism, and is highlighted in a link by this page

On the latter there is a cable technology idea that smacks of BS called the Tunnelbridge, but is it BS? Well, to me it certainly reads that way, but hang on a minute, could there be evidence that the principle works?

There certainly is! It appears in the closing paragraph of Chapter 6 part 3.4 of EMC Design Techniques for Electronic Engineers by Keith Armstrong CEng FIET SMEEE ACGI BSc (Hons), Cherry Clough Consultants.

There is definitely a "spec" in the "Tunnelbridge" marketers eye which certainly makes it look like BS, but in all fairness, on this ocassion, it really does look like the RationalWiki.org have not seen the "log" in their's.

The most important thing to remember is that the line between BS and real science in Hi-Fi is a definite knife-edge.
That none should be able to park up and enjoy the view without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps
