Ash, go and study the datasheet and when you've done that, study a lot more of them.

You're not old enough to have known about capacitor reforming, when digging out a product not used for a considerable time.

When I asked the manufacture (Musical Fidelity) about leaving my amp powered on and whether this would affect the warranty they came back to me and said no as most of the problems that come about with most electrical circuitry are to do with when going from cold to heating up, I assuming they were talking mostly to do with their equipment. They did say that was why they asked me what country I was from (as I didn't put that in the email to them) because this advice was not for all countries
