Graham, I think you misunderstood my point

Your amp sounds superb
conncected to DENON 3930 dvd player and 2000 AE cd player (kimber hero ICs)

But listening from PC sounds better (compared to PC>AMP>HEADPHONES) at the moment with headphones plugged directly (I think cheap IC cable is to blame (I dont have a better one at the moment)) (This is MY SUBJECTIVE opinion or maybe I'm used to soundcard's output :)

And yes I use HD650 :)

Graham,

 IMO, I think the problem is that some people, myself included, haven't heard and compared a lot of various products, i.e. amps, cans,dacs, IC's. So for the uninitiated, when we take an amp that gets out of it's own way, we don't know any better, until we know.

  Clearly the Solo gives you what it gets. Some may be expecting an instant change in sound signature, they're not going to get that.
 
   I think thats a good thing. Like a nutraul, well balanced race car, easier to tune, easier to get the most out of.
