Anyone currently using the Bitzie with iPad 2 and CCK?
It did work up to iOS 4.2 but that was a while ago now...

I haven't tried my Bitzie with any Apple devices. I want to try my Bitzie with my boss' S3 mini within the next few days though. I have a good feeling it'll work... >_<

I took my Bitzie into work today with OTG cable and connected it to both the Samsung Galaxy S3-mini and to the Samsung Note 3. The Note 3 recognised the Bitzie when it was connected and played audio through it into my headphones. The S3-mini however did not recognise the Bitzie when I connected it. No "USB connector connected" alert came up in the notification bar and it wouldn't play audio through the Bitzie. I was convinced it would work but I guess it doesn't because the S3-mini isn't OTG compatible??

What's the difference between a Samsung Galaxy S3 and a Samsung Galaxy S3-mini?
The Samsung Galaxy S3 running Jellybean works using an OTG cable. |

That none should be able to park up and enjoy the view without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps

Yes Graham, my own Samsung Galaxy S3 running Jellybean works with the Bitzie with no problems. Others have reported that the S4 is also compatible. I tried my colleague's Samsung Note 3 yesterday (it's new, so probably uses Kitkat instead of Jellybean) and the Note 3 recognised the Bitzie straight away.
However, the S3-mini, a scaled-down version of the S3 (a smaller phone with lower specifications), didn't recognise the Bitzie on any of the multiple occasions that I connected it. So I assume it doesn't work; it's certainly not plug-and-play anyway. So the S3, S4 and Note 3 are the only three mobile devices I know of so far that should work. Hopefully I will find more. |

Looks like I'll have to take the plunge and get the CCK and try for myself.
