Hi all,
In a previous thread, the Spatia review I think, I shared my personal experience of how the Spatia cables and links best fitted at least my system and preference, but now after some minor modification to my speakers this has actually changed and so I thought I'd create this here thread/post for owners of the Spatia cables and/or links to see how others use them.
To start it off: I now have switched to connecting the Spatia to the tweeter terminals on my speakers only (formerly crossing them, one to tweeter, one to woofer) after I started to employ the hollow foam bungs supplied with the B&W 685 speakers for optional insertion in the bass ports. Before I thought they made the tonal balance of the speakers a bit weird so I didn't use them but after trying having them in whilst at the same time connecting the Spatias to only the tweeter terminals I was blown away! The bass got a little bit more reserved and focused but more than anything the midrange gained a lot of clarity, in particular the upper range. It was as if the speakers put in a higher gear, needing a little more power to do so but with this new configuration sounding more exciting and lucid than ever previously. Don't you just love it when you get a system upgrade for free! Big smile

Now the interesting thing I noticed was how the direction of the Spatia links made a strangely big difference for such small wiring. I found it best having them point in different directions actually, the red one away from the connected tweeter terminal and the black one the other way around "returning" to the tweeter terminal. Has anyone else experimented with this?
It would be very interesting to hear how they were originally meant to be connected.

/Johan
