I'm a novice when it comes to headphone amps, and this article was a good read for me. The comments on 'sources of hum' and 'reasonably good headphones picking up faults in integrated amps' were especially pertinent for me. My Sennheiser 280's pick up a distinct hum from my NAD 3020 integrated amp, which I'm almost certain is due to the power supply in the case. Anyone else have a NAD 3020? Apart from that hum, I love the thing. Others, more expert than me, tend to rate it:
