How much value is there for the converted?  Nice to meet up and all that, but ...

Surely the primary objective should be drawing in the yet to be converted and that ain't going to be easy.

I would agree with Ifor, the object should surely be to promote sales to the as yet unconverted. A members get together is a most enjoyable way of spending a few hours, as we did at Aylesbury. Whilst spending money on those of us already in the fold is a nice gesture, we have to consider the commercial aspects. Quite a lot of turnover generation would be required to cover the event costs.
Perhaps Grahams idea of the marquee in the back garden should be given more thought; an "open day" (for subscribers) might achieve more, with comparatively little cost?

Just listen, if it sounds good to you, enjoy it.

Perhaps a news article on one of the bigger Hifi forums such as Hifiw*gw*m - which has 55000+ members - could bring awareness of the roadshow to the interested but as yet unconverted.

Was hoping to get direct mail (email) working to attract people to attend.

We have a database of more than 1,000 but only around one half are UK.

You can't count on the hi-fi press - advertising didn't work last year - press releases are simply ignored - facebook is about as useless as things can get - and twitter is even worse.

People were more connected in the days of the steam radio!
That none should be able to park up and enjoy the view without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps

Maybe some UK members could post flyers/notices at their local or favorite record shops!Wink
Make a statement of needing to sign up soon before the passes are all sold out!
