Hi Paul, and welcome to the forum!
I'd say that any of Graham's phono stages would improve over an integrated amp, but your best bet is to take advantage of this forum's loan scheme and try one out in your own system . . . .

If you're in the UK, drop a private message to Fatmangolf (aka Jon) - he coordinates loans for the UK.
The Genera is a self build version of the Gram Amp Communicator. I had one of these (a Communicator) for a while and it's very good for the money. A lot depends on your budget, and as you go up the range detail, imaging, dynamics improve. So I'd suggest borrowing the most expensive one you can afford. Something to bear in mind is that for those phono stages supplied with a switched-mode plug-top power supply, a PSU1 linear power supply can be bought later to upgrade the performance. No doubt Genera owners/builders here will chip in with their experiences . . .

Welcome. I'd be happy to help with a PSU1 loan in the UK and confirm the Genera is great value.
