Graham, looks good and please,

Do I go from:
PC > USB > Bitzie > HD600             ...OR...
PC > USB > Bitzie > SRGII > HD600

Will one way or the other be preferable?

Controlled by volume control and also makes a very pure line out.

I've been testing out an early sample/prototype  of Bitzie and must say I'm very impressed! Fantastic sound from such a small device, a couple of my diy dacs full of psu's and regulators are just huge in comparison LOL. I also like the fact it works with my Samsung S3 so allows for a great quality portable device.
Anyway I first tried standard Foobar without addons and selected USB Codec for the output settings,   every file played fine.  I've not much interest in 96k so only have a small selection, all of those played ok  so presume the standard foobar on my win7 laptop must be downsampling?  After Installing WASAPI I got unsupported device with the 96k material which for me is not a problem,  the majority of my albums are 44.1k anyway.

The only other non diy usb dac I have to compare is some cheapish 24/96 chinese thing using a Tenor TE7022l feeding a CS4344 dac(not sure what the output section is). I only had to try a few songs and its clear the Bitzie wipes the floor with it.  The Chinese dac sounds more electronic, it just sounds more processed. The 96k files still don't improve it enough to compete against the Bitzie.
Is it classA ???
