Hi, yes you are quite correct re the various points made, and with cable length cost vs labour, plugs etc generally true though with very expensive cables this does have an impact if looking at over £5 per cm!

With the exception of the arm lead, I use CuSat50 for interconnects throughout my system. There's quite a lot of it but the uniform appearance of the cable helps reduce the 'rat's nest' appearance. I'm also an advocate of keeping the lengths to a minimum, for neatness as much as anything - nothing longer than 1m, which seems to be just right for components on different shelves. I also find that the 0.6m length provides just the right amount of curve to connect neighbouring components, eg SUT to Revelation in my case.

Might be interesting to see... I like order. Thinking about having a go at mine at the weekend. The rack being in tight a corner & to heavy to move without dismantling everything usually defeats my good intentions though. Shame that the received wisdom favours spikes over nice convenient casters. Only in hifi huh?

I use "Soundcare Super Spikes" as I have exposed floor boards. It allows me to easily move my rack around without damaging the floor.

Are they as good as they claim to be? I was considering them recently for the FH3s, but didn't order them.

I didn't notice a big difference between them and spikes, but I can move my rack rounded much easier!
