Gentlemen
Thank you both for all your input into this topic. I am very grateful for both your time and your valuable insight. A good friend has offered me an Apogee Duet which is surplus to requirements at a very competitive rate, so I am going down this route for the interface. I have ordered an AT- Mono3/SP from Joynet. I currently use a re-tipped Stanton, but thought now would be the perfect time/excuse for an upgrade. I have also ordered some Keith Monks discOvery Fluid for cleaning the 78s. For the software I am going to try Audacity for input and then the audio restoration software from clickrepair.net. Can’t wait to get started. All the best Gavin. |
