welcome OAKRACK
I recently replaced a Kimber interconnect with a LAUTUS interconnect with much the same difference and it just keeps getting better, which will come as no surprise to regulars on this forum

I thought you would have changed the speaker cable before the links?

I used to have 8TC - good but I think the Spatia is better ;)

Ditto, it's now in the loft with a pile of unwanted Chord & Nordost cabling. Spatia and Lautus are both superb replacements

I replaced 8TC cable with Spatia. Initially, after having a pair of Spacia on loan, I wasn't convinced there was much difference but having now bought the Spatia realised that it is better!
I've just ordered some Spatia links which will replace 8TC links.
You'd be surprised at how much the 8TC sells for on eBay Andrew. I sold mine and got my money back, maybe not in "real terms", because of their age. Unfortunately there seems to be a lot of fake 8TC around and my buyer, post sale, was very difficult and I had to jump through a few hoops to prove their authenticity.
He said he'd bought some fakes from China and I was fully expecting him to send the fakes back to me for a refund and keep the real cable! Fortunately it turned out alright.

I have enough gear to build a reasonable second system somewhere - bit of a hoarder I'm afraid. If a technically minded mouse family makes a nest in my loft they could have a great time

(including PL12D, ProJect Debut, NAD3020, Meridian CD, Meridian Pre & Power Amps, Chord DAC64, Nakamichi cassette player, Wharfedale, Royd & Shahinian speakers, Kimber, Audioquest, Chord & Nordost cable......oh dear)

I normally would replace speaker cables b4 links, but at the moment i am using philosophy speaker cable which i have had for a few years, it was expensive cable £1000. For 3mtr pair. But i was using 8tc jumpers wich were strangling mid/highs, thats why links had to change first.
