Fanfare vs old pre certification PSU1

Thanks for welcoming me to the forum.

Reason for me joining is I'm hoping to find out if anybody has experience using the old style psu1 with a Gram Amp 3 Fanfare or presumably other modern gsp; I rather assumed it would just work when I purchased the Fanfare but the barrel plugs are different so I'd have to modify one or the other to fit. Does anybody know if the plugs were changed because they aren't compatible or just different plugs over the years?
