Hi,

I need to fitted my Rega Rb300 in Technics SL1210, and I don't know how to do this. First is necessary remove the original arm of course.

My electrical skill are very poor to this job proper, is not complicate to do saying many testimonials, but I can't, soldering as envolved and i don't know what kind of soldering is good and where.

I saw many youtube videos explain how to do this, but i prefer not touch in anything.

Please i need to find someone, decent, and honest in South London to do this, if anyone knows please give me shout.

To fit a Rega arm in place of a Technics, no soldering is required.
Unplug the deck from the mains.
You remove the feet. Remove the rubber outer cover, remove the resin base.
Unscrew the earth lead from the pitch fader attachment screw.
Undo the three screws holding the arm base to the plinth.
The old arm can be removed complete, after which you need to fit the a Rega armboard.
The only tricky part is fitting a new earth lead if you get an earth hum.

just to let you know that i did  this, some time ago on an old sl i had (have a mint stock one now ) and it sounded good - although i never listened to it before taking the old arm off (more because of the state of it) however, i have since been advised to leave the stock arm in place and that it sounds better - doubtless the reba will sound different but will it be better?

My (AO modified) RB251 was a definite improvement over the stock arm.

My Technics have a new improvement, with RB300, Michell Counterweight, with Vta adjustable, and Cardas Phono cables, of course, Reflex C helps.
