hello everybody i have been aware of graham slee products for along time but could never justify spending loads of money on amps and headphones. ihad a very good(for me)hifi, musical fidelity cd player, amp b&w805s speakers with top of the range chord signature cables, i dabbled in headphones with senn hd600&grado rs1(very uncomfortable!)with xcan v3.. well i sold the lot!i have 2 young kids i never used it. i put together a nice cinema system for the kids, now im putting together a headphone system for me.i made a short list of hd800 & ahd7000 with novo, solo or black cube linear. audiot set up the demo for me i eliminated the bcl & hd800 almost straight away which left the solo & novo. with the denons i felt the solo srgii was for want of a better word(s) absolutly amazing!! needless to say i sat there for about 3 hours before i decided, to cut a long story short i bought the solo & denons they should arrive this weekendLOLClap     sorry to bore
you all but after all its my 50th birthday present from my other half      .. thanks for listening ..cheers  mike

Congratulations on your 50th birthday Big smile and the new headphone gear Mike. Sounds like you had a great time auditioning the gear and have a serious weekend of listening ahead of you!

The stability of some line outputs can be compromised by capacitive loads greater than 100 pico Farads (pf), especially those without any series internal output resistance (the instruction book specs should tell you the output source impedance which is not, by the way, the recommended load impedance). If the output source impedance is quoted as being zero then a 2m length gives you the maximum I'd go for at just over 100pf. If some output source impedance is quoted (often around 470 Ohms on CD players, but check) then there isn't really a limit, but it is recognised that cabling between single ended (as opposed to balanced) equipment is kept as short as is practicable.
