can someone tell me if the psu is the only difference between the two models?

No. The only difference is in the power supply section. Intro comes with a Chinese-made simple power supply, while the MC comes with a UK-made power supply, with stronger build and higher quality. And power does make a sonic difference.

Don't forget, you can always buy the Intro version then upgrade to the PSU1 version when funds allow. The T24-48 wall wart that comes with the Intro is fine, until you hear what the Solo can do with the PSU1 - don't listen till you can afford one! Expect a cleaner, clearer sound, bigger/better soundstage, "real" vocals, tighter bass etc.

The injunction prevents me from going within 100m of one. I was lucky to get away with a caution last time...
