I saw a facebook post, by The Sound Gallery at High Wycombe, offering free TT services until 30th November. Over last weekend I used their online form to book in my aged Manticore Mantra, which has been out of the mix because I wasn’t happy with it. Manticore Mantra c/w RB1000 and G1042.

The last person I had look at the setup told me it was junk and needed binning.

On Monday I received a call inviting me down to High Wycombe the following day which was yesterday. I spent a fascinating almost five hours watching an artist at work as he resuscitated my Mantra. It now sounds absolutely superb and I couldn’t be happier. Five hours labour for free!  I treated it to a much needed new stylus.

Glad they were able to get it up and running properly again. Not many shops would go to those lengths nowadays even if paid by the hour. Most places just want to move things along with as little hassle as possible and keep things moving which is probably why you got the response you did from the first place. You should post a picture of the turntable when you can.
