Thought I'd throw in this one to find what in-ear cans owners club members use with their Voyager portable headphone amp... Tell me (and others) which in-ear cans work best with your Voyager (please) Smile

Please give as much info as you can, with pictures if possible, and what you think/what your ears tell you.

(to post pictures you should be able to upload jpegs up to 100KB to your own space here by clicking "member control panel" and the "file upload" tab - the rest should be self explanatory Cool)

That none should be able to park up and enjoy the view without a smartphone and the knowledge in how to use apps

Richer Sounds are selling Kilpsch ear bud 'phones. Any one know of these?

Probably not too relevant? However, in answer to these particulars question. I hate the damn things! They're forever falling out and if they don't then after a few minutes my ears start to hurt. Not from excessive volume but from the discomfort of having these things stuck into them. I was always under the impression and informed that the only thing to stick in one's ears is your elbow!
My ears tell me to remove them as soon as possible.
When mobile I use a pair of Sennheiser PX200 "foldable" headphones and when listening through my Voyager, at home, use my trusty Sennheiser HD250s.Smile

It takes a lot of trial and error to find the right tips for an IEM. Even when you find it you must "train" the ear to wear them. On comfortable alternative are the Comply tips, however htye are expensive plus model specific.

I use Sennheise IE8 with Comply earbuds. On iPod I use Treble Enhancer and Bass on maximum on IE8. I'm very satisfied with the sound. I also have Klipsch Image X10 and Bose InEar Headphones but IE8 are much better.

Hi tma, I haven't tried the IE8's but like my X10's. I have tried various in ear phones with my iPOD. The basic Sennheiser CX-300's were pretty good value and give reasonable isolation from outside noise. I tried some Shure 210's for a while, they were more detailed than the CX-300's and stayed in. My favourites to date are the Klipsch X10's, smooth and clear sound, and comfortable in ear for long train journeys. I use the double flanged soft resin tips, the large ones fit me well and don't fall out.
 
To find out if you are comfortable with in-ears buy some foam earplugs or even wax earplugs and carefully pop them into your ears. Walk around your house and garden, read a paper or book and see how it feels to you for 15 minutes or more. The muffling effect of earplugs is funny the first time and you will notice your footsteps and other noises normally masked by ambience noise.
 
Assuming you are comfortable with in-ears, Mrarroyo is right. Spend some time getting the right size ear buds, the type of tip or bud material that you find comfortable, and get the tip orientation right for the shape of your ear canal and how the phone body sits in your ear lobe. Clean the tips regularly and be careful where you put them down, they are going into your ears.
