I would have thought my question was worth a sensible reply.

It is a sensible reply!

I'm here.

And if I'm not here, the shop runs 24/7, and I'm only not here when I'm asleep.

And sometimes I'm here when I'm not well, when I can't sleep.

And John C is always available by phone on +44 (0) 1909 568739, provided it's UK daytime, and even into the evenings. And if you can't get him on that number, try +44 (0) 7947 107188.

And that's all because we're enthusiasts who do it because it's what we love (or doesn't that come over on this forum).

Plus, we work from home - before any of this Covid. Because of my life long experience of running manufacturing in industrial units, I was able to condense it down to two 300 sq ft home workshops (otherwise known as garages) that look like industrial units, because, in effect, they are no different (and we pay business rates).

Plus there's the other engineer, Leo, who also works from home, but he's not publicly available.

So rather than being shut, we're virtually always open, and if I'm not, then John C is, and if he's not, I am. Because I have to concentrate on R&D, and also have to do the accounting, I don't answer the phone, but always reply to my emails, and if anybody here asks me anything by name, I do my best to reply in a timely manner - which I hope I have.

And then there are our dealers, and let's not forget the loaner program coordinators, who are usually here.

The New Year bank holiday carries over to Monday because it falls on a weekend, which means the return to work for those in England and Wales is Tuesday the 4th of January.

Scotland is always shut on the 1st and 2nd of January, in pursuit of an almighty hangover and a day to recover from said hangover.
With this coming year's start falling on the weekend the return to work is deferred until Wednesday the 5th of January, which would give 3 days to succumb to alcohol poisoning followed by recovery in the local medical facility.

All of which can be found by Googling bank holidays Smile
