I know: but as a proud owner of a Graham Slee Accession phono stage, Graham Slee connects etc..I thought I might qualify for some help:)
Problem: my Delta 290 suffers from the sticky/failing selector switch...cleaning this ,if were possible ,seems to be but a temporary fix.
I understand this  is a common problem, and I have seen the following "fix/work round" on more than one audio forum....that is by utilising the tape loops on the Arcam( tape 1 record out/play in) and"tape 2 record out/play in: this is supposed to "by-pass" the dodgy selector switch(there is a seperate switch for the tape functions.
What no one explains is what do you connect to what, and how? In an ideal world I want somehow to connect my Accession to one/some of the tape inputs...is it possible?
I use the Delta 290 with a Delta 290P power amp and Rega P8 turntable...it sounds wonderful when the dodgy switch allows!

You can use a "Tape Play" input as an auxiliary input by connecting the output of a phono stage directly to the "Tape Play" input.
Then by setting the "Tape Monitor" switch to that input, you will be "monitoring" that input
and bypassing the "Input Selector" switch.

The power amplifier stage is then connected to the output of the "Line Stage" preamp
to include the volume control.

Bak...Many thanks for that...is it then simply a matter of connecting my l/r accession leads to l/r tape play input....and then either selecting tape 1 or tape 2...will that then enable my turntable?
Again many thanks!

If your tape monitor is also dirty... as in intermittent or scratchy sounding,
The unit may need to be cleaned.
You can use Deoxit FaderLube on all switches and potentiometers for cleaning them.
Deoxit FaderLube comes in a dropper dispenser. (part # F100L-L25C)
Just a drop or 2 will work, then "work" the cleaner into the part
by operating it through all functions and travels.

In repair shops, we used LPS2 spray lube, it cleans and lubricates all switches and controls.

Both of these cleaners are permanent lubes as well as cleaners...
if a switch or control gets dodgy again, just operate it thoroughly again and it will clean itself.

When using any cleaner and/or lube,
it is important to not get it on any radio or digital frequency dependent circuits.

Does your Arcam Delta 290 integrated look like this? (This picture is from the owners manual.)

If so, try the Tape 2 Play input, and select with the switch for "Processor" (Tape 2).

If this doesn't work, send me a PM.

No..I have no "processer direct function on mine...I think I may have stumbled on a solution though...I am going to try the Accession VAR out directly into the "power amp in" on the 290 power amp....I realise that volume adjustments will only be possible via the Accession, but if it works it will keep me fit!
Luckily I have enough space on my Atacama rack to house my Rega Brio integrated...I can connect my media player and c.d player to that....it would just mean swapping speaker cables between the Delta and the Brio......all being well I should(may) end up with a dedicated stand alone chain for playing vinyl, and a separate system for the rest....fingers crossed!
