The word philanthropist is usually used to describe a rich person giving a small amount of his/her wealth to charitable works. Millionaires justify themselves by giving for example 10 grand which is a stagering 1% of their wealth! LOL

The media is always giving them exposure for it even if they disguise themselves as Batman as a recent BBC news report showed, although there is the anonymity of the good old postal service isn't there?

Absolutely nothing is said by the media about those much poorer giving a much vaster proportion of their incomes to charity!

So we'll do it for you if you feel abused by the system - let us into the details and we'll sing your praises, even if it was just your last "dime"!

As an example, if you had given one tenth of your meagre salary to help other people on this planet who are less fortunate than yourself you would have made a larger impact in the world than most millionaires - even 2% would have been twice as much - and such publicity in the right places would break the burdens of this world into tiny little pieces - if there were to be such publicity, but there ain't for a reason.... it would not suit our society to have those burdens broken! So the media who rely on this sick society will never sing the praises of the poor who give more in proportion.

We didn't really want to have to say that we gave xxxx% more than "Batman" (but by post) in terms of percentage of our profit (no, it's obviously less than xx xxxxx because we are nowhere near a million and doubt if we ever will), but felt we had to say something! And I hope it encourages others.

You see, there is a book that says you should not disclose your gifts but keep them private, and that book is the Bible, and whoever wrote that in the Bible was in my opinion completely out of touch and wanted to keep the burden going forever and forever! Amen. Evil%20Smile

But the Bible also reveals that a widow gave everything she had which tends to contradict the former doesn't it? So who penned in the bit that ensures a good half of the world is held in poverty I ask? And everyone else but the rich below the glass ceiling? Angry

I see all the time "regular people" giving a good amount of money from their pocket. Invariably this amounts to a large percentage of their income and yet they do not advertise it. Guess which gift is more worthy and sincere?

I am so pleased it is seen by regular people, and concur with your closing sentence.

(and I have taken out any hint of our advert... Smile)
